Still Have Questions?
Good. We Like Those.
Every question on this page came from a real business owner in NJ, NYC, or PA before they decided to work with us. If yours isn't here, email us directly.
📍 Serving HVAC, plumbing, roofing, electrical & more across NJ · NYC · PAThe Big 4 Objections
The four things every trades and service business owner thinks before hiring a social media agency.
It didn't work because the agency you hired treated your HVAC company the same way they treated a yoga studio. Same templates. Same stock photos. Same posting schedule they use for every client — and no idea what actually drives a homeowner to call an HVAC company at 10 PM in January.
That's not a social media failure. That's a strategy failure. We only work with trades and service businesses. Every content framework we use, every content pillar we build, every piece of copy we write is built for an audience deciding whether to call you or your competitor — not for someone scrolling for entertainment.
The difference shows up in what we track: not likes and followers, but phone calls, form fills, and booked jobs.
Want to see what this looks like for a business like yours? Read the case studies.
See Real Results →Your industry is one of the highest-performing categories on social media right now — and most of your competitors have no idea.
A video of an HVAC technician explaining why a furnace is short-cycling will outperform a polished lifestyle brand ad on every platform, because the person watching it actually needs the answer. Before-and-after roofing shots stop the scroll better than most consumer content. A plumber explaining how to shut off a water main in an emergency gets saved, shared, and watched to the end.
The businesses that feel too essential for social media are exactly the businesses audiences trust most — because the content is real, useful, and impossible to fake. You don't need to be entertaining. You need to be helpful. That's what we build.
Neither do we. Our reporting starts with calls, inquiries, and booked jobs — and works backward from there to the content that drove them.
Here's how that works in practice: every link we post is tagged with UTM tracking so we know exactly which post drove a website visit. We set up call tracking (via CallRail) from day one so phone calls are tied to social media activity — not just guessed at. Forms are tracked by source. DM inquiries are logged by intent. At the end of the month, your report leads with how many people contacted your business through social — not how many people liked a photo.
We track impressions and engagement too — because they're leading indicators of reach. But we'll never hand you a report that celebrates follower growth while your phone isn't ringing. If what we're doing isn't moving the needle on real business, we'll say so before you have to ask.
Good — you shouldn't have to be. You run a business. You don't have time to learn video editing or figure out what to post on Tuesday morning. That's our job.
Here's what your involvement actually looks like after onboarding:
- You approve content before it goes live — takes about 10 minutes, once a week, on your phone
- You join a monthly call to review results and weigh in on anything coming up — 30 minutes, scheduled around you
- You answer occasional questions when we need a specific detail only you would know — "what's the most common service call you get in March?" — maybe once a month
That's it. We build systems that work without putting more on your plate. No homework. No "can you send us a photo by Thursday?" We handle the production and the strategy.
Services & Scope
What we do, what we don't do, and how it all fits together.
We do one thing: social media strategy, content, and management for trades and service businesses. That's our entire focus. We don't do a little bit of everything — we go deep on social because depth is what gets results for the types of businesses we serve.
Specifically, that means:
- Building a custom social media strategy for your industry and your local market — not a template recycled from another client
- Creating content: graphics, captions, short-form video (Reels, TikToks, Shorts), educational posts, seasonal campaigns
- Managing your profiles daily: comment responses, DM handling, review engagement
- Reporting on business results every month: calls, inquiries, form fills, booked jobs
We also offer growth add-ons — influencer and creator marketing, website optimization, and AI implementation — for businesses that want to scale beyond the core social program. And we offer a standalone consulting engagement for businesses doing $2M+ that need strategic direction without full-service management.
Not as a standalone service. Paid advertising is a fundamentally different skill set with different margin structures, and keeping it in-house would make us generalists — which is exactly what we're not.
What we do instead: if you need paid media management, we'll refer you to a trusted PPC specialist and we'll make sure their paid creative is informed by the organic content strategy we've built. The best-performing organic posts become the brief for paid ads — and that coordination is something we actively manage on your behalf. You don't need to manage two agencies yourself.
The right platforms depend on your business and your customers — not on what's trending. Here's how we think about it:
- Instagram + Facebook: The default starting point for most consumer-facing service businesses in NJ and the tristate area. Homeowners, referral networks, and local community groups all live here.
- TikTok: Added at higher tiers for businesses targeting younger homeowners or wanting broad organic reach.
- LinkedIn: Essential for B2B businesses — commercial contractors, property management, facility services — and for founder-brand building.
- YouTube / YouTube Shorts: Our long-term SEO play for educational content. A video on "how to know if your HVAC unit needs replacing" lives on YouTube forever and drives search traffic for years.
- Google Business Profile: Optimized at onboarding for every client, because local search and social media work together — especially for NJ and tristate area businesses.
The Foundation package covers 2 platforms. The Engine covers 3. The Full Build covers all relevant platforms for your business.
Basic local SEO hygiene — Google Business Profile optimization, citation consistency — is baked into our onboarding for every client. It's part of the foundation audit, not an add-on fee.
Advanced technical SEO and full website redesigns are referred out to specialists. We don't want to be your generalist agency.
What we do offer is website optimization for conversion: landing page builds, form optimization, mobile UX audits, and call tracking setup — specifically focused on making sure the traffic your social media generates actually turns into leads. That's a Growth Add-On available at higher tiers.
Process & Onboarding
What happens after you sign, and what to expect each month.
Week one is a deep dive. We learn your business — your services, your team, your market, your competitors, your voice. We audit your current social profiles, your Google Business Profile, and your competitors' content. You don't prepare a deck. We ask questions and you answer them in a 60-minute kickoff call.
By the end of week two, you have a 90-day content plan in your hands: your content pillars, your platform strategy, your posting cadence, and your first month of content ready for approval.
From there, the rhythm is: we create → you approve in under 10 minutes → it goes live. One monthly call to review results. That's it.
Because we only work with trades and service businesses, we've already built the knowledge base. We understand the seasonal patterns in HVAC. We know what homeowners in North Jersey search for when a pipe freezes. We know what makes a roofer credible to a homeowner who just had hail damage and got three estimates in 48 hours.
Our onboarding is designed to fill in the specifics: your geographic market, your service mix, your team's personality, and what makes you different from your competitors in your area. You don't need to teach us your industry — you just need to tell us about your business.
Honest answer: it depends on where you're starting. If you have an existing audience, even a small one, the first 30 days will often produce measurable activity — profile visits, DMs, website clicks. If you're starting from zero, month one is mostly foundation-building.
Most of our clients see meaningful traction — increased inbound inquiries from social — within 60–90 days. That's why our packages are built around a minimum 3-month engagement. Social media compounds over time. The HVAC client who went from under 50 followers to 10,000 didn't get there in two weeks — they got there because the content strategy was consistent and built on what was actually working.
We document a baseline at onboarding — your current inbound lead volume, your current social metrics — so when results arrive, you can see exactly what changed and why.
Yes — and we're transparent about it. We use AI tools internally across our content production, research, and reporting workflows. This isn't a shortcut. It's an operational advantage that lets us deliver more content, faster, at price points a trades business can actually afford.
Here's how it works in practice: AI helps us draft copy, research industry topics, repurpose content across formats, and generate reporting insights. Every piece of content that goes out under your name is reviewed, refined, and approved by a human strategist who understands your industry. AI handles volume; our team handles judgment and voice.
If you ever want to know exactly where AI is in our workflow, just ask. We won't dodge the question.
Pricing & Contracts
Straight answers on what it costs and what you're committing to.
Our packages have transparent pricing published on the website. Here's the short version:
- The Foundation — $1,800–$2,500/month: 2 platforms, 12–16 posts/month including short-form video, monthly reporting tied to business results. Best for businesses that want to prove social works before scaling.
- The Engine — $3,500–$5,000/month: 3 platforms, 20–24 posts/month, micro-influencer collaborations, website optimization, 7-day community management. Best for businesses ready to scale social into a real lead channel.
- The Full Build — $6,000–$9,000/month: All relevant platforms, 30+ posts/month, AI implementation, ongoing creator partnerships, bi-weekly strategy calls. Best for businesses doing $2M+ that want social operating as a full marketing function.
Consulting (90-day sprint, not a monthly retainer) is priced at $8,000–$12,000 depending on scope. See the full breakdown on the Packages page.
No long-term contracts. We require a 3-month minimum engagement because social media takes time to build — any agency that promises results in 30 days is setting you up for disappointment. But after that initial period, we work month to month.
We keep clients by getting results, not by trapping them in contracts. If something isn't working after 90 days, we'll tell you honestly — and if we're not the right fit, we'll say so and help you find someone who is.
No separate setup fee. The onboarding work — your foundation audit, Google Business Profile optimization, social profile overhaul, competitive analysis, and 90-day content plan — is baked into your first month's retainer.
The only additional costs you'd ever pay outside the retainer are third-party tools you choose to use (call tracking software, scheduling platforms) and any ad spend if you decide to run paid campaigns separately.
NJ & Tristate Area
Questions from business owners in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania.
TrueFuture Media is headquartered in New Jersey. Our primary market is the NJ/NYC/PA tristate area — and we have specific knowledge of the competitive dynamics in this market for trades and service businesses.
We know that HVAC competition in Middlesex County is different from Bucks County. We know which platforms Bergen County homeowners use to find contractors. We know how seasonal patterns in North Jersey affect what a roofing company should be posting in March versus October.
We also work with businesses outside the tristate area — the social media strategy fundamentals are the same regardless of geography, and the industry knowledge is what matters most. But if you're in NJ, NYC, or PA, you're getting an agency that understands your specific market.
Yes — and it's one of the markets we know best. New Jersey HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and roofing businesses face specific competitive conditions: high density of contractors, strong referral culture in suburban communities, homeowners who rely heavily on Nextdoor and local Facebook groups to find and vet service providers, and extreme seasonality tied to NJ weather patterns.
Our content strategies for NJ trades businesses are built around those dynamics. A consistent, educational social presence in this market compounds fast because most competitors aren't doing it well — or at all. The HVAC company that shows up consistently on Facebook and Instagram in Monmouth County, Morris County, or Bergen County will dominate that market within 6 months. We've seen it.
Own an HVAC, plumbing, roofing, or electrical business in NJ? Let's talk about your specific market.
Book a Free Strategy Call →Yes. We serve trades and service businesses across the tristate area — New Jersey, New York (including the five boroughs and Westchester), and Pennsylvania (particularly the Bucks County, Montgomery County, and greater Philadelphia markets).
The strategy fundamentals are the same, but we tailor the content and the community management to the specific market. A pest control company in Bucks County, PA is working in a different competitive environment than one in Morris County, NJ — and the content strategy reflects that. Hyperlocal is always better than generic.
On-site visits are available for NJ and tristate clients by arrangement. For most clients, the content production workflow doesn't require us on-site — we provide direction, scripts, and shot guides that your team (or a single designated employee) can execute with a smartphone. The videos that perform best in this category are shot on a phone, not a production crew — because authenticity is the point.
For Full Build clients, we can coordinate on-site content days for higher-production pieces when the strategy calls for it. That's discussed during onboarding, not billed as a surprise cost.
Results & Reporting
What gets measured, how we report it, and what to expect.
The report starts here, in order:
- Inbound calls from social — tracked via CallRail, attributed to specific posts and platforms
- Form submissions and DM inquiries — volume, source, and categorized by intent (estimate request, general question, booking)
- Website visits from social — how many people clicked from your social profiles to your site, which pages they landed on, and whether they converted
- Profile performance — reach, impressions, engagement rate, and follower growth as context for the above
- Top-performing content — which posts drove the most action that month, and why we think they worked
- Next month's focus — what we're adjusting based on this month's data
The report is designed to be read in under 10 minutes and to answer one question: is social media moving the needle on my business? We'll always tell you the truth — including when the answer is "not yet, and here's what we're changing."
We'll tell you before you have to ask. That's part of the accountability model — if the strategy isn't producing traction after 90 days, the conversation is proactive, not reactive. We review what's working, what isn't, and what we're adjusting. We don't hope you don't notice.
In practice, 90 days is rarely enough time for a business starting from zero to have a fully built inbound social channel — but it's enough time to see clear directional signals: which content is resonating, which platforms are active, how many profile visits have occurred, and whether inquiries are starting to come in. We'll know whether we're on the right track well before the 90-day mark.
If you're not satisfied after your initial term, you can cancel with 30 days' notice. We don't trap clients who aren't getting value.
Yes — and you should ask. Our Results page has detailed case studies from real engagements, including the challenge, what we built, and the specific business outcomes. These aren't testimonials with a first name and a star rating — they're breakdowns of what actually happened.
On a strategy call, we'll also walk you through a sample monthly report and a real content strategy built for a business similar to yours — so you can see exactly what you'd be buying before you commit to anything.
